OUR STORY

A Church Where People Can Thrive

Our mission is helping people thrive in their relationship with God, themselves, and others.

For more than 50 years, this church has been a place where people from every stage of life gather to worship, grow, and build real relationships. In 1989 we became Community Covenant Church. In 2026, after years of praying about what God was calling us into next, we became Thrive Community Church — same place, same people, a name that now says it out loud.

You don't have to have it figured out to show up here. Whether it's your first Sunday or you're ready to call this place home, there's a seat for you and people who will walk with you.

Our desire is to be a church that loves our neighbors, invests in future generations, and points people to the hope found in Jesus Christ.

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

What We Believe 

Our beliefs shape who we are, what we teach, and how we live.

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that the Spirit of God moved men to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error and is the final authority for our lives.

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and become the Savior of the lost world through his life, death, and resurrection. We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, convicts us of our need for salvation in Jesus Christ, and lives in each follower of Jesus as He guides, teaches, and gives spiritual gifts for godly living, faithful service, and unity with other believers.

We believe that all people are created in the image of God to have fellowship with him, but are alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people cannot regain a right relationship with God through their efforts, but only through believing in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus and submitting their whole lives to Him. 

We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.

We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and making him known to the lost world.

The people who serve at Thrive Community Church are passionate about helping others grow in their relationship with God, themselves, and others. Our staff is committed to creating a welcoming church where people can encounter Jesus, build authentic relationships, and take their next step in faith.

Whether behind the scenes or on Sunday mornings, each team member serves with a heart to care for our church family and our community.

Shepherding Our Church Family

The elders of Thrive Community Church provide spiritual leadership, prayer, wisdom, and oversight for our church. Together, they seek God's direction as they faithfully shepherd and care for our church family.

Their desire is to lead with humility, biblical conviction, and a heart that reflects the love of Christ.
